Tottenham in the final after defeating Brantford

London, 6 January (IANS). Tottenham Hotspur have entered the final of the Carabao Cup after beating semi-finalists Brantford 2–0 for the first time.

As reported by ESPN, Moussa Sissoko scored for Hotspur in the 12th and South Korean player Son Heung Min scored in the 70th minute for the English Football League (EFL) semi-finals played on Tuesday.

Brantford’s Josh Daliswa was shown the red card in the 84th minute of the match, and then Brantford’s team had to continue playing with 10 of their players.

This is Tottenham’s team’s ninth English Football League (EFL) final and has won it four times. The final will be played on 25 April.

English Premier League (EPL) club Hotspur are looking for their first title since winning the Carabao Cup in 2008. Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho has won the Carabao Cup title four times with Chelsea and Manchester United and is now just one win away from winning the title for the fifth time as a coach.

Tottenham will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Manchester United and Manchester City on Wednesday.
