The T20 World Cup 2020 Cup was to be held in Australia and the T20 World Cup was to be hosted by India in the year 2021, due to sudden corona virus, now the 2020 T20 World Cup was stopped till 2022. The tournament to be held in 2021 is scheduled to be held in India as per its schedule. Cities have also been shortlisted for this.
Places shortlisted for World Cup
The BCCI has started preparing all the plans for the World Cup preparations in India. The venues have also been shortlisted for the 2021 World Cup match.
BCCI has chosen Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mohali, Delhi, Dharamshala, Mumbai Kolkata to host the matches, if it comes to places in the shortlist. Some people are not happy with the decision as they want more places to be considered for hosting the event. People are also going to raise questions on this issue of AGM meeting to be held on 24 December.
Association president gave his views
According to reports, a president of the association said that, ‘It is a matter of great pride for every city to host matches in the World Cup. We also have high level stadiums and top level facilities. We want the BCCI to consider the matter once again ‘.
Talking further about this, he said, ‘He has no problem with the big centers hosting India’s matches. But at least they should be given some matches’. It remains to be seen what changes are made in the meeting to be held on December 24 and what new decisions will be taken.
