New Delhi, 10 January (IANS) Steve Smith and Marnus Labushan have joined the elite club of two century partnership in the same Test against India.
Smith scored 131 runs in the first innings of the third Test in Sydney and Marnes scored 91 runs. During this, both shared a 100-run partnership for the third wicket.
Now both of them have once again registered their name in the elite book by sharing 103 runs for the third wicket on the fourth day of the match. Rams scored 73 runs in the second innings, while Smith has also scored half-centuries.
Earlier, only two partners had two century partnerships in the same Test against India.
Sri Lanka’s Roy Dias and Dilip Mendis were the first to perform the feat in Chennai in 1982, followed by Pakistan’s Younus Khan and Mohammad Yousuf in the Faisalabad Test, scoring two century partnerships.
