Sanjeev Rajput showed superb form in international shooting trials

New Delhi, 8 January (IANS) India’s senior male shooter Sanjeev Rajput has done well in the International Trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, winning in the 50m rifle 3PT1.

Sanjeev, who has achieved the Olympic quota, finished first by scoring 1181 out of 19 shooters. He is two points ahead of second-placed Aishwarya Pratap Singh, who may be his partner in Tokyo.

The youth of Punjab, Abhay Singh Sheikhon, also looked in great form. He won in junior and senior men’s skeet T-1.

In the women’s skeet, Ganimat Sheikhon finished first among 13 players. At the same time, Rage Dhillon won in Junior T-1.

In the men’s skeet, Gurjot Singh topped the qualification round with a score of 121. Abhay Sheikhon finished second with a total score of 120.
