Washington, December 31 (IANS). Men’s top tennis body-ATP has imposed a suspended fine of $ 20,000 on US tennis player Sam Quarry for violating the Kovid-19 protocol during the St. Petersburg Open in October.
Corona was found positive on October 11, a day before the 33-year-old Quarry tournament began. He and his family were placed in isolation under the ATP protocol, but Quarry departed from Russia on a private plane after being found corona positive.
ATP said in a statement, after investigating the case it was found that Query’s behavior was against sportsmanship. However, if the query does not violate the corona epidemic health and safety protocol in the next six months, then this penalty will be withdrawn from them.
