Moin Ali (lead-1) found corona infected as soon as reaching Sri Lanka

Colombo, 4 January (IANS) England cricket team all-rounder Moin Ali was found corona positive after arriving at Hambantota Airport for a tour of Sri Lanka.

The 33-year-old Moeen will now put himself in self-isolation for 10 days and will follow the rules of the Quarantine Protocol of the Sri Lankan government.

England are scheduled to play a two-match Test series in Gaul from 14 January on a tour to Sri Lanka.

According to the BBC report, it is believed that Chris Woakes had also come in contact with Moin and now he himself will be in self isolation. The entire team will now be re-examined on Tuesday morning and then only after that they will be allowed to train.

Moin is England’s first cricketer, to be found infected with Kovid-19. He was part of the series played against the West Indies, Pakistan, Australia and Ireland. England’s team last visited South Africa.

The two-match Test series will be played in Gaul. The first test will take place from 14 January. After finishing Sri Lanka tour, the English team will reach India on 26 January and will play a series of four Tests, three ODIs and five T20 matches.
