Illegal contact made to an Indian cricketer during IPL-13

New Delhi, 8 January (IANS) An Indian cricketer was tried illegally during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) held in the United Arab Emirates last year.

The Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, however, ruled out any possibility of spot-fixing.

According to reports, a nurse living in Delhi is accused of contacting a cricketer. This cricketer has also played for India. The woman contacted the player for Confederate information about the team and also showed interest in betting in IPL matches.

BCCI’s ACU was informed about this. The ACU investigated the case and found that the nurse was unprofessional and did not have contact with any betting gang. After this the case was closed.

Due to Corona, the 13th edition of the IPL was held in the United Arab Emirates, which was won by the Mumbai Indians.
