Cricket never discriminates, SCG incident is condemnable: Sachin

Sydney, 11 January (IANS) India’s veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar has condemned the incidents of racial remarks against Indian players during the ongoing third Test match between India and Australia in Sadni and said that cricket never discriminates and people who have such incidents Includes, they should never find a place at Sporting Arena.

Sachin expressed his views on the matter via Twitter and said that the game never discriminates. It works to connect the society and not to break it.

47-year-old Sachin wrote, the game is to unite us. Cricket never discriminates. Amazing with the bat and ball is a special ability of a person. It has nothing to do with race, color, religion or nationality. Those involved in such events should never find a place at Sporting Arena.

It is noteworthy that during the Sydney Test, racial remarks were made against the Indian players twice from the audience. An incident took place on Saturday in which Kuh was offensive against Mohammed Siraj and Jaspreet Bumrah and an incident occurred on Sunday when a comment was made against Mohammad Siraj.

Cricketers from all over the world have condemned these incidents. The ICC has objected to this. The CA has started an investigation regarding this. After Sunday’s incident, police arrested six people outside the stadium.

Indian team captain Virat Kohli also condemned the incident and said that such incidents would not be tolerated. In his tweet, Virat wrote, “Racial abuses cannot be accepted, I have had to hear very bad things on the boundary line, this is the climax of bullying.” It is sad to see all this happening on the field, this incident should be worked on seriously without any delay. Strict action against the culprits will only work.
