BCCI released statement
A statement issued by the BCCI said that KL Rahul participated in Team India’s practice session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Saturday,

Due to this, Rahul will no longer be available for the remaining two Tests, it will take at least 3 weeks for Rahul to recover fully and then to be fully fit, according to the statement, Rahul will now return to India, due to his injury.
