Bareilly: Muslim girl marries Hindu boy in temple, seeks protection from husband from SSP

After marrying a Hindu boy in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a Muslim girl has shared the video and requested the SSP to protect her life. The woman, in her video, has appealed to provide security, terming the life of her husband and her friends as a threat. The woman said that she is married to her will and believes in Hinduism.

The case is of Rithora town of Hafizganj police station area. Here a Muslim girl married a Hindu boy in the temple as per Hindu custom. In the temple, Panditji got both married between Vedic chants. Both made 7 rounds around the fire. The husband filled the vermilion and wore Mangalsutra in demand of his wife. After this, both of them touched Panditji’s feet and took his blessings.

The woman, in her video, urged SSP Bareilly to seek security and said that SSP sir! I am an adult and I have followed Hindu customs since childhood. I have married Pankaj Sharma of my own choice and want to spend my life with Pankaj Sharma. Please do not disturb my husband and his friends.

SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan said that in all such cases, boy and girl belong to different religions, then a case is filed and the girl is presented in court. His statements are recorded. However, no FIR has been filed in this case yet. Significantly, the first case of Love Jihad was registered in Bareilly, after which the police also arrested the accused of Love Jihad.
