Asia Cup -2023 to be played in 10 cities of China from June 16

Kuala Lumpur, 7 January (IANS). The AFC Asia Cup-2023 will start from 16 June and will be played in 10 cities across China until 16 July.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Local Organizing Committee (LoC) confirmed this on Thursday.

This 18th edition of the Asia Cup will be the longest in history which will last 31 days.

AFC General Secretary Dato Windsor John said, AFC Asia Cup is growing day by day according to its fame. It is surpassing all expectations after every edition and we are confident that the upcoming edition in China will be the biggest football tournament in Asian history.

LOC Secretary General Xi Qiang said, LOC will start the work properly once the dates are confirmed. Preparations include construction, organizing, support of football stadiums, Volunteer program and scheduling of programs. We will work closely with the AFC to organize a spectacular tournament.
