Srinagar. A militant has been killed in an encounter between security forces and militants since night in Hokarsar area of Srinagar. The other terrorist is still hiding in the house and is intermittently firing on the security forces. The security forces asked him to surrender but he continued to open fire, rejecting him.
Commander Yusuf Kantur feared trapped
According to police sources, on the basis of information, top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Yusuf Kantur is feared to be trapped in the encounter site. However, this has not been officially confirmed. Yusuf district is quite active in Budgam. It is being told that he came to mislead the youth of the area to ask them to join terrorist organizations. The security forces have laid siege to the area. There is no possibility of the terrorist escaping.
The encounter has continued since Tuesday evening. The security forces suspended it as it became dark. Early in the morning, the security forces once again asked the two terrorists to surrender but when they did not agree, the security forces piled one terrorist in retaliation. These terrorists are hiding in the house and both are said to be local.
Two terrorists are present in Hokarsar
The police officer said that on Monday evening he came to know from sources that one to two terrorists were present in Hokarsar on the outskirts of Srinagar. Based on the information, a joint team of SOG, Army 2RR and CRPF personnel reached the area and they started a search operation. In the house where the terrorists were suspected to be hiding, the militants started firing as soon as the soldiers came near to it.

Once again in the morning, the terrorists were given a chance to surrender. When he did not accept this time also, in retaliation, a terrorist was killed by the security forces. Still, one to two terrorists are expected to be present in the house.
